This bigfoot sighting report given to:
Lower Alabama Amateur Bigfoot Researcher Dennis Bauer
Sighting Date: 2005-05-17 ‘tween 8PM and 9PM
JH was traveling east on county road 82 (Grange Ford Road) towards Red Level, , Covington County, AL after having dropped off her brother AH at his fiancé’s house. She had passed over a Mill Creek and was on the upslope approach to the town. Both sides of road had been recently logged uproad from creek bottom to a point where there were still intact woods on the left side. JH saw something on right side of road, thought at first it might be a deer, then a person. She hit the high beams and saw the bigfoot. It was making a step from the side of the road, put a foot on the yellow center stripe, stopped, then looked directly at her and grinned. When JH first hit high beams it had appeared angry, which frightened her. When it grinned it didn’t appear angry. It took another step to left side of road, then off road edge into the remnant woods patch. It swung its arms when it walked, and was in no rush to cross and enter woods. She is not sure if it saw her behind the windshield with the high beam lights on. But it looked directly at her position prior to the grin. It acted like it knew exactly what a car is and exactly what it should do about it.
Description: 7 to 8 feet tall; dark reddish brown hair, eyes did not shine like an animal; eyes were human in appearance, not dark brown or black like an animal’s eyes; eyes were bluish green, she saw white around the color. She saw canine teeth from the top on each side, the rest of the teeth looked normal like human teeth. Arms down to knee.
JH drove into Red Level, called her brother at the fiancé’s house, and then drove back through the sighting location to the house to repeat the story and calm down before the drive back to Andalusia. She drove thru the sighting area once more time on the way home. Her brother AH made fun of her about the sighting.
JH said she was more scared of the encounter than a car wreck she had experienced.
