1954; AL, Covington County; road X-ing bigfoot waits behind fence for car then passes behind it
From Personal communication  with JHD on 2005-05-22
JHD's aunt; saw a bigfoot standing behind hog-wire hog wire fence: arms down to knees; dishwater blond hair. stepped over fence toward road, cleared gully to the road in one step, crossed road behind car in 2 or 3 steps. She was riding in the backseat of the car.
Location: on Covington 77, a couple hundred feet south of the flashing caution light at intersection of 70 and 77 there is a dirt road called Gardeners Chapel Road that angles southeast past Gardner’s  Chapel Church and crosses Halloway Branch. The Aunt's sighting happened on this road just north of the Halloway Branch crossing.

1981; AL, Covington; male and female bigfoots and a youngin stand in corner of field

from personal communications with RC, BH, and SH
a) Back in 1981 RH saw a group of three bigfoots, a male, female, and a young one in his tractor headlights and full moon while plowing a field they were standing in the corner of a field. This was about 8 miles west of his land.
c) As a younger man RH and his brother went to a fight between their dogs and what they thought was a big raccoon. They could see something big and brown through the thickets thought it was a big bear until the dogs started flying over the thicket at them. They ran away.
d) SH recounts having seen what she thought was a werewolf at her bedroom window when she was five years old. She and BH looked about outside and saw nothing.
e) SH, at age 17, babysat for the three-year-old boy in the trailer across the street. He once came out of his bedroom saying the hairy man was looking in his window again she saw nothing. Later the boy’s father said he often mentioned that but he himself never saw anything.
f) The boy’s (in item e above) mother once called BH and SH on the phone all frantic saying “those damn things are back pounding on the (trailer) walls again.” She had seen one run through the yard fast.
h) A man living four, five miles to the east of RH’s place reported to the emergency room at the nearby hospital saying that he had been scratched by a wildman in a scuffle in his yard. wild man is the term used in this area to indicate bigfoots

A lady I worked with saw one cross a road a county north of us one dawn about two years ago (prior to 2004). This was not in Covington County, but further north, south of Montgomery. As a child her brothers quit night fishing 'cause they heard 'huge panthers' screaming at them and thrashing in the woods.

A Wal-mart employee told me of a woman friend who stopped her car as a bigfoot crossed. Neighboring dogs stopped barking when bigfoot vocalized. County sheriff's deputies that came along behind woman said they were not going to do anything about it. This occurred in the south center of Covington County on a back road leading from State Highway 55 to Open Pond recreational area.

unknown date; AL, Clay; a red haired bigfoot heads-up a family group that frequents an area spring and fall
If you go into the Talladega National Forest near the Hollins Wildlife Managemant area, on the Hatchet Creek, you will likely see and hear BF's. This is in the spring and summer. Large red male with family.  Curious about people but also very unfriendly at times. Get a map of the southern part of the Talladega Forest and enter near Hollins.
