| Bigfoots in Upper Alabama
Bigfoots are a part of upper Alabama, it's ecosystems and it's cultural lore. Below is a list of titles that link to bigfoot sighting reports on the original posting websites. Some of these reports describe sightings of more than one bigfoot . Some sightings were by multiple witnesses. Animals do not recognize human political borders. Many of bigfoot populations likely occupy territories that straddle both side of the borders between Alabama and neighboring states. If you live in a border county, you may want to research bigfoot sighting reports in counties just across the state line. There are many additional bigfoot sighting reports that have not been, and may never be, published in books or on the internet. Most bigfoot sightings and encounters go unreported do to threat of ridicule from family and friends, and do to the threat of loss of community social status and even loss of employment. Maybe it is time the witnesses turn the ridicule back on the those who have not yet seen a bigfoot. 1886-04; AL, Etowah; huge skeletons found after flood (scroll down this page) 1945 or 1946; AL, unknown; man touches bigfoot, the bigfoot knocks the man down IBS 1960's late; AL, Limestone; a bigfoot is seen in a cave 1971-11; AL, Randolph; a bigfoot walks past house 3 ft away from window JS-BSECA 1971-11; AL, Randolph; treed a bigfoot jumps down, attacks dogs, yells loudly JS-BSECA 1971-12; AL, Randolph; road crossing, a bigfoot slides down bank squatting JS-BSECA 1972-01; AL, Randolph; bigfoot walks between police car and church JS-BSECA 1972-02; AL, Randolph; policeman sees bigfoot jumps off 20ft roof JS-BSECA 1980; AL, Lauderdale; a bigfoot picks up, throws hunter, hunter shoots bigfoot IBS 1980; AL, Walker; hunters using predator call see a bigfoot IBS 1981 early; AL, Chambers; road crossing bigfoot stops, looks at motorists JS-BSECA 1994 fall; AL, Chambers; fall; road crossing bigfoot passes right behind a car JS-BSECA 1995; AL, De Kalb; a bigfoot sits with legs out stretched as it watches stopped traffic JS-ABS 1995 fall; AL, Randolph; a bigfoot in a pasture squats motionless to hide JS-BSECA 1996 summer; AL, Macon; a dog bites a bigfoot, the bigfoot hits then dog, a farmer shoots the bigfoot JS-ABS 1997 winter; AL, Randolph; a bigfoot is seen running up hill thru thick brush JS-BSECA 1998; AL, Chambers; 2 reddish brown bigfoots crossing a river at some shoals JS-ABS 1999-12; AL, Franklin; a bigfoot is seen near a creek at a fenceline crossing JS-ABS 2000-08; AL, Dallas; a bigfoot is seen eating field corn cobs and shucks JS-ABS 2002-12; AL, Tallapoosa; a roadside bigfoot seen briefly just standing there JS-ABS 2003-01; AL, Coosa; tannish bf standing on big rock in creek JS-ABS 2003-01; AL, Tallapoosa; bf running away from road thru clearcut JS-ABS List Key 1) JS-BSECA >> book: Bigfoot Sightings in East Central Alabama, by James M. I have converted many of my website's links to the "Center's" old URL's to the "Conservancy's" new URL's. This processs is ongoing. Only the unconverted links have the TBRC designator. *********************************************************************************************************************************************** *********************************************************************************************************************************************** *********************************************************************************************************************************************** Portions of this website are reprinted under the Fair Use Doctrine of International Copyright Law as educational material without benefit of financial gain. http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/17/107.html This proviso is applicable throughout the entire website. | |
